About the Company
DVS LED Systems, part of Dynamic Visual Solutions, manufactures large-format LED video wall displays for entertainment and commercial AV customers across the United States, Canada, and Europe. The company is hiring a strategic, hands-on leader to oversee its service and operations organization from end to end, spanning warehouse activity, freight coordination, technical support, RMAs, and post-sale service.
Role Overview
In this leadership position, you will be responsible for the full Service & Operations function from the Fort Lauderdale headquarters. The role covers warehousing, shipping, inventory control, facility upkeep, technical support, and spare-parts/RMA fulfillment. You will define departmental strategy, set KPIs, manage budgets, develop managers and frontline teams, and act as the primary cross-functional partner to Quality, Customer Service, Product Development, Marketing, Purchasing, Sales, and Finance.
This is a true leadership role with accountability for performance, budget ownership, and team growth, not just daily execution.
Key Responsibilities
You will own the department’s operating model, build accountability systems, and ensure the team delivers reliable results across service and operations.
On the warehouse and logistics side, you will manage receiving, put-away, inventory accuracy, picking, shipping, freight performance, carrier relationships, claims, and budget control. You will also work with Purchasing and Sales to manage product lifecycle issues, prevent inventory build-up, and keep slow-moving or refurbished stock under control.
For technical service and after-sales support, you will oversee the RMA workflow from intake to closure, set and enforce service-level expectations across internal teams, and ensure spare-parts inventory is positioned to meet turnaround targets. You will also keep helpdesk and technical tickets moving, escalating issues when needed so nothing is missed.
In addition, you will oversee facility maintenance, partner with IT to improve ERP and WMS setup and data quality, and introduce dashboards and visual management tools that support leadership reviews, huddles, and KPI tracking.
Operational Scope
- Set the strategy, KPIs, budgets, and accountability framework for Service & Operations.
- Lead, coach, and develop managers and staff across warehouse, logistics, and technical service functions.
- Build and continuously improve SOPs to strengthen safety, consistency, speed, and accuracy.
- Present department performance, budget variance, and core metrics to executive leadership on a regular basis.
- Oversee all warehouse activities, including inbound receiving, storage, inventory control, order picking, and outbound shipping.
- Manage freight performance, carrier selection, RFQs, and claim resolution for damage or loss.
- Perform and oversee inventory counts while maintaining strong WMS accuracy and expense control.
- Partner with Purchasing and Sales on inventory health, excess stock, and lifecycle management.
- Own the RMA process and after-sales support flow from start to finish.
- Direct spare-parts planning and fulfillment to support service turnaround goals.
- Track and resolve technical service and helpdesk tickets against SLA targets.
- Support facility upkeep and ensure the workplace remains safe, clean, and productive.
- Work with IT to improve ERP/WMS integrations, configuration, and data integrity.
- Implement visual dashboards and reporting tools for tiered huddles and management reviews.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for someone with 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in operations, warehouse, and/or service leadership, including 2 to 3 years at director level or in a senior role managing managers. Experience in the professional AV/AVL industry is required, along with prior leadership in a technical service or AV environment.
The right candidate will have a strong record of building SOPs, KPIs, and accountability systems that improve operational and service outcomes. You should understand logistics, inventory management, technical service workflows, and quality control, and have experience managing department budgets and performance targets.
People leadership is essential: you must be comfortable hiring, developing, and managing a multi-functional team. Strong system knowledge is also important, especially ERP and WMS tools; NetSuite and Zendesk are strongly preferred. You should also be comfortable working with MS Office, CRM platforms, helpdesk software, and shipping tools such as FedEx and UPS.
Excellent communication skills are needed to work effectively with customers, frontline staff, and executive leaders. A proactive, “the show must go on” mindset and willingness to step in hands-on when needed are also important.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Bilingual ability is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of DMX lighting is a plus.
- Experience handling tradeshow or demo inventory is a bonus.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, on-site position based at the Fort Lauderdale headquarters and requires presence at the facility five days per week. The role involves frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of the hands. You must also be able to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
