About the Role
The Director of Operations at DHL Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing multiple distribution centers, each serving distinct customers with unique requirements. The ideal candidate will foster strong customer relationships, acting as an extension of their clients' businesses, while upholding DHL's high industry standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate multiple managers and operational teams across distribution centers.
- Create and sustain a high-performance culture focused on delivering results.
- Form and mentor effective teams at each distribution center to support operational excellence.
- Facilitate professional development opportunities at all organizational levels.
- Collaborate extensively with DHL Supply Chain's functional departments to support group performance.
- Serve as a vital communication bridge between distribution centers and senior leadership.
- Participate actively in management initiatives within the world's largest global supply chain company.
- Exercise entrepreneurial freedom to organize and manage your business unit effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; MBA or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in supply chain roles.
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in strategy development, operations management, or organizational design and implementation.
- Preferred experience includes management consulting or strategic roles within supply chain functions.
