Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of Operations & Delivery based in Calgary, AB. This strategic leadership position drives all facets of operational management encompassing production, logistics, inventory, project execution, and engineering support. The role focuses on enhancing operational performance, continuously improving processes, and ensuring project delivery aligns with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize operations across manufacturing, logistics, inventory control, engineering support, and project delivery.
- Set, monitor, and achieve key performance indicators related to efficiency, quality, delivery timelines, capacity planning, inventory, and cost control.
- Manage end-to-end project execution ensuring timely, on-budget, and quality-compliant delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance workflows, productivity, technology use, and scalability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering/design, project management, logistics, and executive teams for seamless operations.
- Develop and uphold operational structures, procedures, and governance to support business growth and excellence.
- Oversee resource allocation, scheduling, risk mitigation, escalation resolution, and operational decisions maintaining business continuity and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, safety regulations, environmental laws, and relevant legislation.
- Lead and mentor teams fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing culture.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree with a technical focus.
- Minimum of five years in operational leadership roles.
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
- Experience in manufacturing, operations, logistics, or tech-driven industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; SAP experience is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, strategic planning, and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is beneficial.
