About X Movement
X Movement provides live, in-school experiential programs targeting elementary schools across Canada, especially in Ontario, engaging millions of children. Their signature Aussie X program introduces Australian sports and culture into Canadian educational settings.
Role Overview
The Director will oversee the regional Australian sports programming, including Australian rules football, cricket, and netball curricula, managing the facilitation team, leading coach recruitment and onboarding, training coaches, and ensuring high-quality program delivery in multiple partner schools throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of Australian sports programming across partner schools in the GTA.
- Lead training initiatives and cross-training of the facilitator team to maintain seasonal flexibility across programs.
- Manage coach recruitment campaigns including marketing, candidate screening, and onboarding procedures.
- Ensure curriculum adherence, uphold program quality standards, and conduct program evaluations.
- Model coaching delivery standards directly within school programs.
- Collaborate with client success and operations teams regarding scheduling and school partnerships.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven expertise in one or more Australian sports (Australian rules football, cricket, netball-based curriculum) through playing, coaching, program development or delivery.
- At least two years' experience working with children or youth in educational, coaching, or recreational capacities.
- Background in training, mentoring, or coordinating coaches or facilitators.
- Excellent communication and group management skills suited for school-age children.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Valid driver’s license to facilitate travel between multiple schools in the GTA.
- Vulnerable sector check or ability to obtain one.
- Customer service or hospitality experience is a plus, highlighting professionalism and effective interpersonal communication.
Additional Information
- Permanent, full-time role with a 32-hour work week.
- Salary is $63,232 annually, equating to $38.00 per hour.
