Direct Support Professional

Role Overview

Liberty Resources is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide meaningful day-to-day assistance to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This full-time onsite role is based in Madison and Onondaga Counties, and pays $19.50 per hour. There are no mandated shifts.

What the Role Involves

• Offer individualized, person-centered support to people with disabilities.
• Help with everyday living tasks, personal care, home responsibilities, and participation in community activities.
• Encourage engagement in hobbies, exercise, interests, and social interaction.
• Support each person’s independence, wellbeing, and safety.
• Advocate for individuals so they can be active and respected members of their communities.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• An associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or relevant experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• You must be able to use your own vehicle to transport individuals.
