Role Overview
The Digital Media Designer II will play a vital role in boosting the department's visibility and promoting its services by managing social media activities and maintaining the agency's website.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategize and implement engaging campaigns across multiple social media channels, aligning with agency branding and campaign goals.
- Create and refine consumer education materials, reports, and other publications.
- Manage a comprehensive content strategy and editorial calendar, including creating new content and repurposing existing materials for optimal impact.
- Design original, brand-consistent graphics to support daily social media posts.
- Analyze, forecast, and report the effectiveness of campaigns, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Compile monthly analytics reports detailing social media and website performance with high accuracy.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify content needs and explore opportunities for new content that drives engagement and conversions.
- Update and organize website content ensuring it is user-friendly and current.
- Enhance community engagement by building partnerships with federal, state, local agencies, and other organizations.
- Respond promptly and professionally to public inquiries via social media and web platforms.
- Support internal initiatives such as webinars.
- Stay informed on emerging digital trends and technologies.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a high school diploma along with applicable experience. An associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field can substitute for the work experience requirement.
Additional Requirements
- Proficiency in evaluating social media analytics.
- Understanding of contemporary website design standards and best practices.
- Experience in launching both paid and organic social media marketing campaigns, ideally within the nonprofit sector.
- Confident in networking and establishing connections with new organizations.
- Strong design sensibility.
- Ability to prioritize and execute complex assignments independently under tight deadlines.
- Highly adaptable with perseverance in learning new tasks.
- Professional demeanor in appearance, timeliness, communication, and teamwork.
- Excellent written communication skills to effectively convey information to target audiences.
- Creativity in generating content ideas both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to engage respectfully with diverse populations and colleagues.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Skills and Tools
- Familiarity with HootSuite and Google Analytics.
- Experience using Facebook, Instagram, Nextdoor, and YouTube for social media management.
- Advanced skills with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server or similar content management systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in audiovisual production is a plus but not mandatory.
