Design Engineer - Sheet Metal

About the Role

We are looking for a proficient Design Engineer specializing in Sheet Metal 2D drafting with expertise in AutoCAD or ZW CAD. The position requires strong skills in designing sheet metal parts and assemblies, a thorough knowledge of manufacturing techniques, material characteristics, and adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed and precise fabrication drawings for sheet metal components and assemblies.
• Revise and update designs responding to feedback or evolving project needs.
• Lead and organize a team, overseeing task assignment and completion while monitoring performance.
• Conduct training sessions for team members when necessary to enhance skill sets.
• Collaborate closely with production departments to address design issues and ensure manufacturability of products.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all design activities, including drawings and technical specifications.
• Contribute to design optimizations aimed at cost-effectiveness without compromising quality and functionality.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or ZW CAD for 2D sheet metal design.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes and material properties.
• Leadership skills for team management and training.

Additional Information

The salary range for this role is INR 25,000 to 28,000 per month.
