Role Overview
We are seeking a diligent Design Engineer to serve as a critical part of our engineering team. This role involves converting intricate 3D models into precise 2D drawings suitable for manufacturing, preparing essential supplementary documentation like Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and facility layouts, and independently designing smaller standard ultrasonic cleaning machines from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform complex 3D assemblies and parts into detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy in dimensions, tolerances, weld symbols, and Bills of Materials (BOM) for fabrication.
- Create and maintain vital project documents such as facility placement plans and P&IDs using AutoCAD.
- Take complete responsibility for the design process of smaller ultrasonic cleaning machines including 3D modelling, 2D detailing, and final production clearance.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to resolve queries, clarify drawing details, and update models based on shop-floor feedback.
Candidate Profile
- 0 to 3 years of experience in mechanical design or drafting, ideally within sheet metal, capital equipment, or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Expertise in SolidWorks for both 3D modeling and 2D drawing preparation.
- Proficient in AutoCAD for 2D project layouts and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, especially regarding dimensions and tolerances to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
- Possession of a Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma.
Compensation and Location
- Annual compensation ranges from ₹250,000 to ₹450,000, depending on experience and software skills.
- Role is based in Vasai, Maharashtra.
- Full-time employment schedule.
