Role Overview
This position is centered on manufacturing-focused design engineering work, with close attention to product data, drawing release, and coordination between engineering and production planning. The role supports the transition of engineering definitions into manufacturable structures and ensures alignment across BOMs, planning, and release processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully examine MBOMs and CAD models before they are approved for release.
- Develop manufacturing BOMs for assemblies in line with the defined production process.
- Support business requirements related to EBOM, MBOM, and manufacturing planning.
- Prepare 2D drawings or 3D annotations, including GD&T specifications.
- Perform gap analysis between the engineering BOM and the manufacturing BOM.
- Conduct MBOM design reviews using DMU presentation and manipulation tools.
- Handle engineering change management and ensure structured releases through PLM systems.
- Validate digital vehicle layouts and check assembly sequence fitment for plant-wise implementation.
