Position Summary
The Cabinet Pros, Inc. (TCP), located in Brea, CA, is hiring a dedicated and proficient Design Drafter. This role involves generating precise technical drawings and plans that align with customer specifications and project needs to support the design and production of superior cabinetry and woodworking projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings utilizing Cabinet Vision CAD software specifically for cabinetry and woodworking assignments.
- Interpret architectural blueprints, sketches, and design outlines to develop accurate drawings.
- Work closely with clients, designers, and project managers to adjust designs and integrate requested revisions.
- Produce cut lists, specify materials, and develop assembly diagrams required by production teams.
- Adhere to company protocols, relevant building codes, and industry standards in all design outputs.
- Modify and update drawings throughout the progression of projects.
- Keep detailed and organized documentation of all drawing files and project materials.
- Provide support in resolving design-related issues during manufacturing and installation stages.
Required Qualifications
- Must submit a resume along with sample drawings for consideration.
- Proven expertise with Cabinet Vision software is essential.
- Three to five years of practical experience in drafting using Cabinet Vision.
- Comprehensive knowledge of woodworking materials, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to accurately interpret architectural and technical drawings.
- Strong focus on precision and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with team members.
- Capacity to handle multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
