Deputy / Assistant Manager, Rail Regulation

Role Overview

The Rail Regulation Division oversees the licensing, safety codes, and operational safety standards of rail operators, as well as monitors their performance in managing Singapore's Rapid Transit Systems (MRT & LRT). This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring the provision of safe and reliable MRT and LRT train services.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monitoring of rail operators by reviewing regulatory submissions related to operations, maintenance, and safety.
• Conduct audits and inspections, and initiate programs to uphold commuter safety and enhance travel experience.
• Lead regulatory investigations into rail incidents and participate actively in rail emergency exercises organized by LTA and operators.
• Analyze rail operations to manage impacts arising from service disruptions.

Candidate Profile

• Possess engineering knowledge relevant to rail operations.
• Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Skillful in stakeholder engagement and management across various internal and external parties.
• Show initiative, attention to detail, and resourcefulness in daily tasks.
• Strong time management to meet tight deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with presentation capabilities.
• Understanding of risk assessments, emergency planning, maintenance techniques, and operation planning.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Open to fresh graduates seeking to start their career in rail regulation.
