Job Overview
Sherwin-Williams is seeking reliable Delivery Drivers to transport products safely from company stores to customers using company vans or pickup trucks. Drivers are responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient order delivery, maintaining vehicle condition, and providing exemplary customer service while adhering to safety and transportation regulations. This position is based at Store #8740, located at 510 Bryne Dr, Units F & G, Barrie, ON L4N 9P6.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare deliveries to efficiently meet customer requirements.
- Properly load customer orders onto delivery vehicles.
- Complete all necessary delivery documentation.
- Safely transport and deliver goods promptly to customers.
- Maintain company vehicles and notify supervisors of maintenance needs.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and managing complaints.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules diligently.
- Comply with all transportation laws and uphold a safe driving record.
- Prepare delivery-related reports and paperwork.
- Operate vehicles and other equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Support store duties, including warehouse tasks, tinting and mixing orders, and assisting customers.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorized to work legally in Canada.
- Possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Physically capable of handling materials, lifting frequently up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 70 lbs, with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent Certificate of Adult Education Completion (CAEC).
- At least 1 year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service roles.
- One year’s experience handling material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollies, or conveyor belts.
- Previous experience selling paint and related products preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in multiple languages.
