About the company

New Flyer is a leading North American maker of heavy-duty transit buses and is known for its Xcelsior and Xcelsior CHARGE product lines. The company also delivers infrastructure solutions through NFI Infrastructure Solutions, supporting safe, sustainable, and dependable charging and mobility systems.

Position overview

This role is focused on coordinating business-value projects and delivering customized solutions for ERP and related business systems. The work includes solution design, testing, documentation, training, and implementation to support key business processes.

What you will do

Use ERP and IoT data sources to create interactive Power BI dashboards that turn data into clear stories for stakeholders and help them make decisions.
Develop machine learning models and predictive analytics solutions using data from Snowflake.
Carry out data exploration, statistical analysis, and feature engineering to support AI initiatives.
Partner with data engineering teams to keep data pipelines reliable and effective.
Help build AI-based tools and frameworks across the organization.
Review model performance and retrain models when data patterns change.
Take part in cross-functional work involving manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams.
Maintain training materials and technical documentation.
Provide training to operating groups when needed.
Handle additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

A post-secondary qualification in Business or a STEM discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
Training and/or certifications related to Data Science, Statistics, and Artificial Intelligence.
At least 2 years of experience in data science, AI, or advanced analytics.
Strong working knowledge of SQL, preferably in Snowflake, along with Python and Power BI.
Good understanding of machine learning methods, model assessment, and AI workflows.
Experience creating end-to-end models and embedding them into business operations.
Strong familiarity with data warehousing and cloud data platforms, with Snowflake and Fabric as preferred tools.

Compensation and benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000.
