Data Scientist - Python (Remote)

Role Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a client for a full-time Data Scientist/Analyst position to work remotely. The successful candidate will develop and maintain robust Python code to train and fine-tune AI models, evaluate their performance, and analyze results to support continual enhancement. Collaboration with researchers and annotators is essential to implement reinforcement learning with human feedback and refine reward models.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and maintain efficient Python code to train and optimize artificial intelligence models.
• Perform performance evaluations and benchmarking of AI models, analyzing results to drive iterative improvements.
• Assess and classify AI-generated responses to user queries across various domains, ensuring alignment with specific standards.
• Provide detailed explanations and rationales for evaluations demonstrating strong reasoning and technical skill.
• Manage supervised fine-tuning activities, including generating and maintaining high-quality, task-specific datasets.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python programming for data analysis and AI model development.
• Experience with data science methodologies and machine learning approaches.
• Good business acumen and analytical skills to extract meaningful insights from public databases.
• Competence in debugging code and producing comprehensive technical documentation.
• Excellent communication abilities to clearly explain reasoning and logic in formats such as Jupyter notebooks.
