Exide Energy Solutions Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Exide Industries Limited—a prominent battery manufacturer in India with annual revenue exceeding $1.8 billion—is investing over $500 million to develop India's first Giga plant dedicated to manufacturing Lithium-Ion Cells at Devanahalli Industrial Area, Bengaluru. The company specializes in designing, developing, and producing Lithium Ion Cells and Battery Pack solutions catering to diverse energy storage needs across 2W, 3W, 4W, commercial vehicles, and industrial sectors. Role Overview

The role entails leading the configuration, installation, and ongoing management of network infrastructure comprising routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and plant servers supporting both IT and Operational Technology (OT) networks. Responsibilities cover network operations, maintenance, upgrades including deployment of service packs, patches, hotfixes, and implementing security configurations to ensure system reliability and compliance.

Primary Duties

Lead and manage areas such as Campus Network, Manufacturing (OT) Network, Firewall management, Network Security, and Cloud Networks.
Support installation and configuration across LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments.
Engage in network capacity planning and enforce network security and management best practices.
Use monitoring, diagnostic, and network analytics tools for optimal operation.
Collaborate with internal teams including Plants (for IT plant machinery and vendor development), Process, R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Equipment, Sales & Marketing, among others.
Liaise with external network and security vendors, ISPs/Telecom companies, system integrators, cloud providers, VoIP vendors, and global suppliers.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) or equivalent
Minimum 4 years of experience managing and installing network devices and firewalls
CCNA or CCNP certification required
In-depth understanding of networking protocols such as IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11 wireless standards, and Quality of Service (QoS)
Strong knowledge of routing, switching (Layer 2/3), remote access, DNS, EIGRP, VLAN, DSL, Frame Relay, Metro Ethernet, and firewall technologies.
Experience with VoIP system implementation is desirable
