Data Analytics & AI Intern / Analyst

Role Overview

Castle Park Investments is looking for a technology-oriented analyst to join its data and technology team and work directly with Kutay Gozalan, Vice President of Data & Technology. The position suits a current student, a recent graduate, or an early-career professional who is eager to apply data analytics and artificial intelligence to improve real estate operations.

The company is open to applicants at different academic and career stages, including senior undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates who are ready to contribute immediately. Current students should have a manageable academic schedule and be able to devote about 20 hours per week, with some flexibility depending on availability. High performers may transition into a full-time role.

The role focuses on improving KPI tracking across the portfolio, developing machine learning workflows, and helping roll out AI tools that streamline processes across a portfolio of 4,500+ units in manufactured housing communities, RV resorts, and campgrounds located in 9 states.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data pipelines that move information from property management systems into cloud-based storage.
• Evaluate, test, and introduce AI solutions that automate work in marketing, leasing, maintenance, and investor communications, while acting as an internal advocate for AI adoption.
• Create internal reporting and business intelligence solutions, such as automated Excel outputs built from SQL queries and interactive live dashboards hosted through AWS CloudFront, using AI-assisted development tools.
• Build and run automated machine learning pipelines that use AI tools to interpret data, summarize findings, reveal patterns, and support better decisions.
• Work with operations, acquisitions, and investor relations teams to turn analytical insights into practical business actions.

Requirements

• Must be a current senior working toward a Bachelor’s degree, a graduate student, or a recent graduate in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• Current students should be available for roughly 20 hours per week, with flexibility based on course load and schedule.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Working knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Looker, or comparable platforms.
• Strong command of SQL and Python, including API integration work and analytics libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Genuine interest in AI and emerging technologies, supported by self-directed learning and experimentation.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Independent, proactive approach and comfort working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial setting with limited supervision.
• Preferred: basic JavaScript knowledge and some front-end development exposure, ideally with Node.js.
• Preferred: experience using AI tools such as Claude Code to build BI tools or similar applications.
• Preferred: familiarity with cloud environments, especially AWS.
• Preferred: experience using IDEs such as Visual Studio Code.
