About Kibble
Kibble specialises in providing care services for vulnerable children and young people across the United Kingdom. Many of the individuals supported have faced considerable trauma, and Kibble ensures a nurturing, stable, and therapeutic environment. The organisation offers extensive integrated services and support networks to help young people develop self-confidence, belonging, and self-worth.
Job Purpose
The organisation is establishing a Data Analyst position to enhance its digital-first reporting capabilities. This role involves collaborating across departments to design and maintain self-service reporting and automated insights, predominantly using Power BI. The position requires integration with operational systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 (eCase), Finance & Operations (HR), Business Central (Finance & Payroll), and the wider Microsoft 365/Power Platform ecosystem.
Main Responsibilities
- Create a digital-first reporting framework by defining standard metrics, data standards, and consistent visualizations, including reusable dataflows and certified datasets.
- Design and maintain dependable Power BI datasets, models, and reports to deliver actionable insights to leadership and frontline teams.
- Manage and continuously improve core dashboards and reporting workflows.
- Integrate data from Dynamics 365, Finance & Operations, Business Central, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other authorised sources.
- Implement refresh schedules and validation protocols for data consistency.
- Automate data workflows using Power Query, DAX, and Power Automate.
- Assist in developing lightweight ETL processes consistent with Kibble's ICT guidelines.
- Support organisational empowerment by conducting demonstrations, preparing user manuals, and delivering training sessions to facilitate self-service analytics while promoting ethical and secure data usage.
- Ensure compliance with data governance by enforcing role-based access, least privilege, and data protection standards.
- Advise on the design and rollout of new datasets and electronic systems.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated expertise in creating, modelling, and publishing Power BI solutions, including proficiency with DAX, Power Query, data modelling, row-level security, and refresh procedures.
- Hands-on experience integrating Microsoft 365 applications and Power Platform tools like Power Automate and Dataverse.
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and Business Central data schemas, connectors, and APIs.
- Strong SQL capabilities and ease in handling relational databases.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, capable of translating inquiries into analytical insights that guide decision-making.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience with Azure data services such as Data Factory, Synapse/SQL, Azure Functions, or Logic Apps.
- Knowledge of programming languages including Python, R, and JavaScript.
- Expertise in data governance practices including cataloguing, lineage, metadata standards, and GDPR compliance.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and version control systems.
- Experience developing user support materials such as playbooks, instructional videos, and training presentations.
- Strong skills in data visualization crafted for accessibility, colour safety, and storytelling for non-technical audiences.
