Customer Service Executive - Network Operations and Support

Role Summary

This position involves comprehensive planning and designing of FTTX networks, leveraging GIS and CAD tools, ensuring high-quality design output while managing and mentoring teams. You'll handle end-to-end design delivery including site surveys, construction plans, BOM/BOQ preparations, and close coordination with field teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and planning of FTTX networks applying GIS and drafting tools.
• Ensure quality control on design outputs and processes.
• Enhance team performance through training and efficiency initiatives.
• Analyze various GIS datasets to generate new insights using MapInfo, QGIS, ArcGIS, and similar tools.
• Deliver complete design services incorporating detailed designs, survey validation, site plans, and construction documentation.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address design rejections and implement corrective measures.
• Collaborate with field teams to gather necessary site information.
• Interpret and prepare telecom equipment specifications and regulatory documentation.
• Design power solutions aligned with utility standards.
• Maintain open communication with field personnel for supplementary data needs.

Technical Expertise

• In-depth understanding of telecom transmission networks and various FTTX technologies.
• Practical experience with copper and fiber access networks, including field practices, quality testing, and fiber architecture.
• Knowledge of installation techniques and methodologies for cable, joints, and equipment - both aerial and underground.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities related to GIS and network design.
• Proficient in multiple GIS platforms and in maintaining GIS data structures.
• Competent in planning and designing telecom passive networks, especially for FTTX.
• Skilled in optical fiber cable design for residential, commercial, and multi-dwelling units (MDU), including FTTN, FTTB, FTTC technologies.
• Familiar with Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation for FTTX designs.
• Experienced in reviewing and validating field inputs to produce accurate as-built documentation.
• Efficient at updating GIS databases, AutoCAD drawings, and network records to document installed infrastructure.
• Ability to coordinate closely with field and construction teams to reconcile onsite installations with approved designs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation, training, and stakeholder interaction.

Additional Details

This role demands a thorough knowledge of OSP/ISP construction standards and field practices, including optical and copper distribution networks, last mile connectivity up to customer premises, and relevant construction activities.
