Job Overview
The role of Credit Manager for Home Loans involves managing a team and collaborating closely with sales personnel to meet the targets within the designated area. The position requires direct engagement with customers to assess their creditworthiness, ensure completion of all necessary verifications, and comply with the company's credit policies. This role demands balancing strong sales support with risk management to help fulfill the bank's larger strategic goals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Underwrite secured and unsecured loan proposals following established policies and procedures, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and business volume targets for the area are met.
- Lead and supervise a team of credit underwriters, providing them with clear guidance and instructions.
- Engage personally with customers to verify their creditworthiness through discussions.
- Manage front-end delinquency by promptly contacting customers upon first presentation of issues.
- Ensure thorough completion of credit documentation and KYC requirements, including telephonic, field, and collateral verification visits.
- Work closely with the sales team to meet targets while maintaining SLA adherence.
- Maintain strict compliance with the company's credit policies and standards.
Managerial and Leadership Duties
Oversee credit underwriting activities and lead the credit operations team in alignment with organizational goals.
Educational Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline (full-time program)
- Postgraduate qualification in any field (full-time program)
Professional Experience
Between 2 to 5 years of experience in credit management.
