The working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM local time.
Role Summary
The Credentialing Specialist plays a crucial role in the Revenue Cycle Department, responsible for creating and maintaining credentialing and renewal records for our providers.
Key Duties
- Adhere to and update credentialing and clinic licensure policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and current reports on provider credentialing statuses.
- Ensure all clinic details are correctly listed in payer directories.
- Process credentialing applications, verify details, research as needed, and complete all steps promptly.
- Keep credential databases and online platforms updated with provider information.
- Monitor credentials and licensure of staff members.
- Collaborate with Credentialing Manager and billing team to address denials or authorization issues related to credentialing.
- Complete payer-issued revalidation requests.
- Maintain a positive and proactive attitude.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of experience in billing and credentialing.
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA operational standards.
- Experience with major payer portals and CAQH platform management.
- Strong communication skills for email, messaging platforms, and face-to-face interactions.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within and outside the department.
- Detail-oriented with capability to manage complex data accurately.
- Competent with technology appropriate to the role.
- Reliable access to high-speed internet.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Compensation
The hourly pay rate is $22.50 USD.
