Job description
Job Overview
This role involves providing polite and efficient collection and drop-off of packages along a designated route. Additionally, the courier will verify all shipments comply with company service standards and support customer service tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and pick up packages courteously and efficiently on assigned routes
- Inspect shipments to ensure adherence to company service specifications
- Perform associated customer service duties
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Capability to lift 70 pounds and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 pounds with proper equipment
- Preferably one year of customer-focused business experience
- Completion of mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training meeting minimum standards
- Basic understanding of company operations and Canadian customs regulations is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective time management and organizational abilities
- Excellent customer service aptitude
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and manage stress well
- Flexible availability, including varying schedules and holidays, to meet business needs
Additional Information
