About the Project and Company
Mace is a combined construction and consultancy firm dedicated to unlocking potential through innovative projects and a strong value-driven culture. This opportunity involves a landmark project establishing a state-of-the-art 18.8km fully autonomous Metro system in Dublin, encompassing 16 stations, extensive tunneling, and integration with key transport hubs like Dublin Airport, Irish Rail, and the LUAS network.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize and champion health and safety protocols to ensure outstanding safety, quality, compliance, and wellbeing standards throughout all project activities.
- Provide support in cost planning, procurement, and overall cost management to achieve excellent client results.
- Ensure all operations adhere to ethical standards and compliance, while actively contributing to carbon reduction and sustainability goals.
- Lead and mentor teams to adopt best practices, foster continuous improvement, and enhance cost management procedures.
- Oversee feasibility studies, cost planning, and procurement processes, delivering accurate cost plans, reports, and contractual documents.
- Manage contract administration tasks including valuation, cost control, reporting, and finalizing account settlements.
- Evaluate design modifications, manage variations and claims, ensuring commercial compliance and transparent client communications.
- Support junior colleagues, optimize workflows, manage stakeholder relationships, and assist in achieving net-zero objectives.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in cost planning and estimation, preferably within public-sector capital infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on experience with pre-contract and post-contract phases.
- Proven ability to manage budgets aligned with public-sector financial governance.
- Familiarity with contract administration under NEC3 and NEC4 frameworks.
