Position Overview

This full-time role based in Huntsville, Texas, supports the promotional efforts for Bearkat Athletics by creating digital and print media assets that align with the organization's brand and marketing goals. The role reports to the Associate Director for Fan Engagement and Marketing and collaborates with various stakeholders to develop compelling creative materials that enhance brand awareness and support ticket sales and fan engagement.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Fan Engagement and Marketing teams, including the AVP for Marketing and Branding, to implement creative campaigns consistent with departmental objectives and brand standards.
  • Design and produce a wide array of graphics, templates, and visual assets for social media, marketing campaigns, videoboards, digital advertising, print materials, game-day operations, event credentials, signage, tickets, posters, newsletters, and promotional collateral.
  • Create both still and motion graphics for Daktronics video displays, Rocket Motion systems, social media channels, and other digital platforms.
  • Work alongside marketing staff to develop animation content and maintain consistent visual messaging across campaigns.
  • Partner with communications, marketing, and sport-specific personnel to plan and execute creative content strategies for assigned sports and projects.
  • Maintain and enhance the Bearkat Athletics brand identity through careful application of branding standards, typography, color schemes, layout, and graphic design principles.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Organize and archive creative files and digital assets efficiently and provide real-time creative support during athletic events and live activations.
  • Contribute to graphic development supporting facility enhancements, environmental branding, signage, and venue visual elements.
  • Supervise and manage student employees assisting in graphic design, photography, videography, signage, print materials, and other visual asset production.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations and effective communication with university departments and agencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum one year of related professional experience; additional experience may substitute for education.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud products, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics and animation preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain brand consistency and visual hierarchy across a variety of media.
  • Experience in supervising support staff or student employees and managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge of pertinent laws and regulations relevant to business functions.
