Biryani And Payasam, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, is looking to hire experienced chefs and freshers with a keen interest in preparing a variety of traditional South Indian dishes, specializing in biryanis and accompanying specialties.
Key Responsibilities and Job Expectations
- Prepare a range of biryani dishes including chicken, mutton, and vegetarian varieties.
- Cook traditional dishes such as Nei Choru, Thenga Choru, Kuruma, Dalcha, Parotta, and other South Indian specialties.
- Exhibit strong passion for cooking, maintaining high food quality.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation standards.
- Maintain exemplary personal hygiene, cleanliness, and professional appearance.
- Demonstrate discipline, punctuality, honesty, and professionalism in daily work.
- Collaborate effectively with team members with a positive attitude.
- Follow restaurant-standard recipes and procedures with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Keep recipe and company information confidential.
- Minimize food waste and ensure efficient ingredient usage.
- Handle kitchen equipment and workstations responsibly.
- Deliver consistent food quality, flavor, and presentation.
- Work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays as required.
- Communicate effectively — knowledge of Tamil, Urdu, or Hindi preferred; basic English required; Kannada is a bonus.
