Role Overview
The role of Construction Timekeeper is a full-time position located on-site in Nairobi. The primary responsibility is to meticulously document the daily labor hours and attendance of construction site personnel. This includes managing timesheets, verifying labor crew assignments, and ensuring alignment of records with ongoing site activities and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate daily records of labor hours and attendance of site crews.
- Coordinate with site supervisors to confirm staffing levels and crew allocations.
- Track overtime hours and shift changes systematically.
- Generate daily and weekly labor reports for payroll processing and project management purposes.
- Address queries regarding time records and support improvements in workforce planning and operational efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to company policies and safety protocols at all times on-site.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong aptitude for detailed timekeeping and verification of labor hours.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with supervisors, workers, and administrative staff.
- Customer service orientation to handle inquiries professionally and support internal teams.
- Proficiency in basic computer tools and familiarity with time-tracking or payroll software is advantageous.
- Experience in construction or site-based operations, with knowledge of labor shifts, crew management, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
- Capability to reliably work on-site in Nairobi, manage multiple priorities, and maintain precise records under tight deadlines.
- Preferred educational qualifications include a diploma or certificate in business administration, accounting, or related fields, or equivalent relevant work experience.
