Computer Technician (Grade 10)

Job Summary

This role is advertised starting from the minimum hourly wage, with the final salary determined based on the candidate's education and experience upon job offer.

Role Overview

Under general guidance, the Computer Technician will perform a range of technical duties to support the court system's automation and technology infrastructure. This includes installing, configuring, troubleshooting, testing, and monitoring various computer and communication systems, audio-visual equipment, and peripherals.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, modify, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair standard technology and communication devices.
• Support users with configuration, procedures, and operation of desktop/laptop computers, printers, audio-video equipment, telephones, and related peripherals.
• Administer security protocols for technology systems.
• Assist users with specialized software applications provided by the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) and other relevant software.
• Provide training and technical support to employees across various court departments, potentially requiring travel.
• Gather and organize data for preparation of statistical reports.
• Monitor systems to ensure optimal performance and usage.
• Configure and test computer setups, operating systems, and system software upgrades.
• Adjust system configurations based on user requirements; provide training as necessary.
• Notify users of system issues, initiate corrective measures, and follow up to verify resolution.
• Analyze and solve performance issues related to operating systems and hardware.
• Perform any additional job-related duties as assigned.
