Role overview
Bank of China Limited Singapore Branch is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Manager to oversee core rewards processes, benefits administration, and compensation strategy support within the HR function.
Key responsibilities
- Run the annual performance and compensation cycle end to end, including performance calibration, pay review, promotion planning, annual bonus planning, and execution.
- Assist with a range of compensation operations such as salary reviews, bonus computations, annual manpower budgeting, and sales incentive programmes.
- Carry out compensation benchmarking and market research, assess pay trends across the industry, and recommend improvements to salary positioning, job grading, and overall compensation approach.
- Prepare analysis, presentations, and reports to support senior management discussions on remuneration.
- Draft, maintain, and refine compensation and benefits policies.
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of the compensation framework, including salary bands and job grading structure.
- Oversee employee benefits administration, including group insurance, flexible benefits, and staff welfare schemes, while managing vendors and contract renewals.
- Perform market salary surveys and trend analysis to better understand prevailing compensation practices.
- Support organisation design changes and workforce planning activities.
- Handle any other HR-related assignments directed by the supervisor.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in compensation and benefits, ideally gained in banking or financial services.
- Strong analytical ability with solid data interpretation skills.
- Practical experience with annual pay reviews, bonus planning, headcount budgeting, and HR cost analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with compensation benchmarking platforms such as Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, and Korn Ferry.
- Strong spoken and written Chinese skills for effective communication with Head Office colleagues.
