About the Role
Based in Ang Mo Kio, this role involves providing essential support to clients in their daily routines within a community care setting. The incumbent will assist with activities of daily living tailored to client needs and work closely with nursing and therapy staff to ensure quality care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily tasks such as feeding, personal hygiene, mobility, medication, and simple wound care under supervision
- Support nurses and therapists by monitoring clients’ vital signs and participating in therapeutic activities and daycare programs
- Observe and report any cognitive or behavioral changes, and escalate any concerns appropriately
- Document and report adverse incidents, contribute to investigations, and manage feedback or complaints
- Perform housekeeping duties including cleaning equipment, managing inventories, and basic administrative tasks
- Adhere to standard operating procedures, infection control policies, safety standards, and confidentiality protocols
- Work shifts under supervision while maintaining professional and ethical behavior at all times
- Engage in training sessions, meetings, and participate actively in organizational initiatives
- Recognize potential risks associated with the role and support organizational efforts to mitigate them effectively
Candidate Requirements
- Preferably holds a minimum of O-Level or N-Level qualification
- No formal professional certification or license is necessary
- Previous experience in geriatric care, long-term care, or nursing home environments is beneficial but not mandatory
- Dependable and able to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient with strong empathetic communication abilities
- Committed to serving clients from diverse backgrounds without discrimination
