Role Overview

The Commissioning Engineer will spearhead developing commissioning plans and procedures, coordinating systemization efforts, supervising pre-commissioning and commissioning processes, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and contractual standards for major EPC oil and gas projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules tailored to project needs.
• Coordinate systemization activities and review engineering diagrams including P&IDs, Single Line Diagrams, and Instrument Block Diagrams.
• Participate in Mechanical Completion inspections and manage punch list activities through the SCDB system.
• Conduct conformity verifications, pre-commissioning operations, and review test packs.
• Execute commissioning and pre-start-up operations such as functional and operational tests, chemical filling, leak and inerting testing, and drying procedures.
• Compile and deliver comprehensive commissioning dossiers.
• Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, contractual obligations, and quality assurance standards.
• Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams to guarantee smooth handover of systems to operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess 6 to 8 years of experience in commissioning roles, ideally in oil & gas, power, or heavy industry sectors.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Chemical Engineering.
• Proficient with recognized commissioning software such as ICAPS and HEXAGON.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, including P&IDs and technical specifications with comprehensive knowledge of piping, electrical, control systems, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment.
• Expertise in commissioning methodologies, system start-up, testing, and overall operational readiness complemented by knowledge of applicable safety and environmental standards.
