Park Hyatt Doha delivers a premium hospitality experience featuring outstanding dining and event services. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Commis Chef specializing in Banquets to join our Culinary team to help prepare and execute exceptional banquet events.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting banquet dishes aligned with the hotel's quality standards.
- Maintain uniformity in food quality, flavor, and presentation.
- Support senior kitchen staff in daily operations and banquet event setups.
- Ensure adherence to proper food handling, storage, and hygiene protocols in accordance with HACCP and food safety guidelines.
- Prepare ingredients, mise en place, and cooking stations as instructed.
- Monitor food inventory levels and communicate restocking needs.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Help reduce food waste and enhance operational efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff to guarantee smooth event delivery.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess a Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related discipline.
- Prior experience as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Assistant in hotels, banquet settings, or upscale restaurants is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
