Commercial Lending Technology Advisor - Digital Transformation

Role Summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced Commercial Lending Technology Advisor to spearhead advisory and pre-sales efforts in commercial lending transformation projects. This position requires combining in-depth commercial lending domain knowledge with technology-driven solutions to modernize loan origination systems, improve credit processes, and generate tangible business outcomes.

Role Overview

The advisor will serve as a senior subject matter expert, supporting client engagement and delivery teams throughout lending transformation initiatives. Key areas include commercial lending operations such as loan origination, underwriting, and risk assessment, integrated with technology platforms and implementation strategies.

The role involves shaping client solutions, conducting workshops, assisting in pre-sales activities, and guiding end-to-end lending transformation from concept through execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle lending transformation programs in commercial lending.
• Advise client leadership on operating models, technology upgrades, and digital channel integration.
• Drive modernization efforts for lending platforms, including loan origination systems and workflow tools.
• Provide industry best practices for commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate (CRE) lending.
• Engage with CXO-level stakeholders to define transformation strategies and roadmaps.
• Conduct client workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
• Offer guidance on implementation scope and estimations.
• Develop solution designs and participate in high-value deal pursuits and Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
• Support delivery teams through advisory roles and manage risks and dependencies.
• Contribute to the creation of accelerators and reusable assets.
• Assist sales efforts including deal shaping, solution positioning, and building consulting practices.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Over 15 years of experience in commercial lending or related consulting roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of lending lifecycles and credit process management.
• Hands-on experience with loan origination systems or lending technology deployments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with lending platforms and system integrations.
• Experience working with APIs, SQL, and data architecture concepts.
• Skills in preparing proposals and solution documentation.
• Background in consulting on transformation initiatives.
