Role overview
University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a full-time Clinical Trial Practitioner to join the Epilepsy Research Team at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, with work based across Queen Square and the Chalfont Centre for Epilepsy. This role suits someone who is enthusiastic, highly motivated, and keen to build a career in clinical trials.
The post involves supporting epilepsy patients through a varied research portfolio that includes commercial studies, non-commercial studies, and observational research. The team is seeking someone with strong communication, organisation, attention to detail, and a genuine willingness to learn.

Working closely with the Principal Investigator, research support staff, clinical research nurses, and the Clinical Operations Manager, you will help ensure that studies are delivered in line with Trust policy, Good Clinical Practice, the Human Tissue Act, and study-specific protocols.
Your work will focus on trial coordination, patient recruitment, completion of study-related tasks, and accurate data collection. You will also need to manage your own workload, prioritise tasks effectively, and adapt to changing research needs while working independently and as part of a wider team.

- Collaborate with the Principal Investigator, clinical research nurses, and research support colleagues.
- Organise and prioritise your own workload with strong time management.
- Take a proactive, flexible, and practical approach to resolving issues.
- Support high-quality research delivery across NHNN, with potential involvement at the Chalfont Centre for Epilepsy.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisational ability.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.

- Good time management and prioritisation skills.
- Flexible and solution-focused mindset.
