Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager with clinical expertise to act as the clinical authority for our medical device range across Europe. This role involves collaborating closely with distributors and healthcare providers to promote clinical adoption, conducting hands-on training, and supporting partners throughout European markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage European distribution partners remotely from the home office.
- Develop and implement sales strategies that align with company goals to surpass revenue targets.
- Partner with senior leadership to shape long-term plans and growth initiatives by providing detailed reports on distributor activities, market feedback, surgical trends, and competitor analysis.
- Act as a liaison between regulatory teams and customers to ensure ongoing product registration compliance.
- Deliver clinical assistance during medical procedures, device installations, and product evaluations.
- Participate in European congresses, training sessions, and workshops aimed at customers and stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough training on product usage for distribution partners, physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals using presentations and practical demonstrations.
- Manage the logistics of demonstration devices including their maintenance, storage, shipment, and tracking to support distributors effectively.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Clinical background in at least two disciplines such as General Surgery, Urological Surgery, Gynecological Surgery, Colo-Rectal Surgery, or ENT.
- 3 to 5 years of sales experience within the European medical device industry, preferably surgical devices.
- Prior exposure to operating room settings.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships.
- Availability for extensive travel, estimated at 50% to 75% across European territories.
- Fluency in English; additionally, proficiency in one or more European languages is highly advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent undergraduate qualification.
Preferred but Not Mandatory
- Experience managing distributors is a strong advantage.
- Holding clinical certifications such as Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent medical technology qualifications.
- Existing connections with medical device distributors, surgeons, or key opinion leaders.
- Hands-on experience in cadaver or animal labs and participation in European clinical trials.
- Knowledge of European healthcare systems, regulatory frameworks, and hospital procurement processes.
