Job Overview
The Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDS) will apply clinical knowledge to meticulously examine medical records, guaranteeing documentation accurately embodies the patient's illness severity and quality of medical care. Responsibilities include concurrent review of medical records, working alongside physicians and healthcare providers, and ensuring compliance with MS-DRG classifications and CMS regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree or active RN license (IMG candidates welcomed).
- 2 to 3 years’ experience as a Clinical Documentation Specialist.
- Preferred specialization in OBGYN, Pediatrics, or Inpatient Psychiatry.
- Experience with quality review processes, mortality assessments, and risk adjustment tools is highly valued.
- Must hold CCDS or CCDIP certification.
- Excellent communication skills and proficient in collaborating within remote team settings.
Additional Details
Contract duration is approximately 26 weeks with possibility for extension. The role is fully remote.
