About the Role and Division
The Acute Care Technology division at ZOLL Medical Corporation specializes in innovative "beating heart" therapies used in hospitals, focusing on treatments for post-cardiac arrest, STEMI heart attacks, and severe fevers. This division researches and develops cutting-edge devices including the ZOLL Temperature Management Solutions which allow physicians to precisely prescribe and control patient temperature.
Job Overview
This position is remote and field-based with significant travel requirements (40-60%). The Clinical Application Specialist's main role is to provide advisory and technical support to healthcare professionals within hospitals, while driving business growth and commercial success of the Temperature Management Solutions across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical and scientific presentations reflecting the latest study findings.
- Engage actively in both internal and external training sessions and various professional meetings.
- Plan and conduct round table discussions and workshops to enhance product knowledge and clinical application.
- Educate physicians, advanced practice providers, and medical personnel on IVTM and surface temperature management therapies to increase awareness and usage of these treatments.
- Organize monthly meetings with new clinical sites for therapy promotion.
- Participate in customer and medical society education events and major conventions.
- Provide support to area and sales managers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
- Assist with complaint management procedures while strictly adhering to ZOLL's internal guidelines.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships through timely and consistent follow-up with customers.
Relationship Building
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key customers within the assigned sales territory.
- Promote temperature management products to hospital staff and physicians, understanding their needs, goals, and types of cases handled.
- Model professionalism consistent with ZOLL's leadership principles.
- Contribute to fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of DGKS/P training; experience working in intensive care units is preferred.
- At least 2 years of clinical or sales experience related to medical devices.
- Expertise in resuscitation, post-cardiac arrest care, neurology, and fever management including temperature therapies.
- Proven experience as a medical device representative.
- Good understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Experience in education and training of medical, peer, and technical staff.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic or French is considered advantageous.
