Cleaning Technician

About the Role

JT Commercial Services of AL, LLC is looking for a reliable and experienced Cleaning Technician to join our team in Prattville, AL. This role is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly workplace environment. Candidates should be detail-focused, punctual, and safety-aware to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping various floor types including hard surfaces and carpets.
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, locker rooms, break rooms, and communal areas.
• Overseeing and leading cleaning tasks in offices, stairwells, windows, and interiors of buildings.
• Cleaning kitchen appliances and fixtures such as sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restocking supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and shared spaces as necessary.
• Empting trash bins, replacing liners, and cleaning the containers as needed.
• Dusting and cleaning furniture, desks, blinds, file cabinets, and windowsills.
• Polishing furniture and metal fixtures using suitable products.
• Supporting event setups for meetings and lunch areas and managing post-event cleanups.
• Monitoring cleaning supply, chemical, food, and beverage inventories.
• Keeping janitorial and vending storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Maintaining janitorial equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Complying with chemical handling protocols including proper labeling, dilution, storage, and usage.
• Clearing litter, debris, and waste from external areas like sidewalks and parking lots.
• Reporting any maintenance, safety, or facility issues to management promptly.
• Adhering strictly to all company and site-specific safety policies and procedures.
• Performing other routine custodial and maintenance duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications

• Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, commercial cleaning, or facility maintenance roles is preferred.
• Capable of working independently and supervising cleaning activities when needed.
• Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness standards.
• Demonstrated reliability with excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Professional demeanor and a positive attitude towards work.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and maneuver cleaning tools and supplies safely.
• Ability to comprehend and follow both written and oral instructions effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and occupational safety is advantageous.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with colleagues, supervisors, and clients.
• Must clear background check and drug screening to obtain site access.

Additional Information

A valid driver’s license is required for access to the work site. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
