Cleaner / Dishwasher

About the Role

Join the Nando's PERi-PERi team as a Cleaner/Dishwasher where you will play a vital role in ensuring the high-quality experience for our customers by maintaining clean, sanitized dishes, glassware, and utensils. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with a welcoming and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and pots consistently to uphold the Nando’s dining standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dish room, dish machine, and storage areas.
• Collaborate with team members by assisting in cleaning various restaurant areas and supporting cooking chicken and basic food preparation tasks when needed.
• Contribute to delivering excellent guest experiences and uphold the restaurant’s service quality.

Requirements

• Ability to follow directions and work cooperatively within a team.
• Maintain calm and efficiency when working under pressure.
• Dedication to quality service along with an understanding of food and beverage basics.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Basic English proficiency and professional communication skills.

Physical Demands

• Capable of lifting up to 15 pounds independently for extended periods.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and carry food items and dishes throughout the shift.
• Must be able to stand or walk for 8 to 10 hours daily.
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting overhead.
• Climbing stairs required in multi-level restaurant locations.
