About Yoni
Yoni is on a mission to make period care accessible without cost by creating a unique system that gives women value back for the period products they already purchase. The platform allows users to scan receipts, earning rewards that can be spent with partner brands or donated to individuals in need. This innovative approach is supported by brand sponsorship since engaging a verified female audience proves highly valuable. Currently live on iOS and Android, Yoni holds provisional patents in both Australia and the United States and has received backing through a City of Sydney grant.
Role Overview
We seek a proactive Chief Technology Officer to lead the technological direction and architecture of Yoni's receipt-scan rewards platform as the company expands. This full-time, remote position involves leading the development of secure, scalable systems that enable users to scan, verify, and redeem rewards seamlessly. The CTO will collaborate closely with the founding team to transform ambitious product visions into solid engineering solutions and will play a key role in scaling the technical team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire technical architecture and strategic roadmap from purchase verification to the rewards infrastructure.
- Lead critical engineering decisions and recruit and grow the engineering team to meet scaling needs.
- Collaborate directly with the CEO and COO on broader product and corporate strategies.
- Assess, select, and implement appropriate technologies for managing sensitive health and purchase data in a consumer platform.
Qualifications
- At least three years in senior technical leadership roles such as CTO, VP of Engineering, or Head of Engineering.
- Experience in health technology or consumer technology industries, with preference given to backgrounds at companies like WHOOP, Flo, Oura, Strava, Apple, Google, Meta, or Anthropic.
- Residency in the United States or Australia is mandatory due to the nature of the role.
- Ability to thrive in an early-stage startup environment characterized by rapid change, high responsibility, and ambiguity.
Compensation and Additional Information
This opportunity includes equity participation in Yoni. Detailed compensation packages will be discussed with candidates who reach the final stages of recruitment.
