Category Management Associate - Home Care (Paper & Disposables)

Job Overview

As a Category Management Associate focusing on Home Care products such as Paper and Disposables, you will support the category management team to optimize product offerings, pricing, and vendor partnerships to align with company sales goals and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Category and Assistant Category Managers in negotiating annual supply agreements with suppliers following company policies.
• Support category planning and implementation in accordance with sales budgets and forecast projections.
• Assist in setting cost and retail price points, focusing on maximizing product margins.
• Help manage overall commercial margins through deal negotiation and follow-up with vendors, ensuring deal implementation.
• Analyze and monitor product sourcing processes, collaborating with suppliers to complete necessary formalities.
• Foster positive vendor relationships by regularly providing performance feedback.
• Participate in promotion optimization activities including supplier communication, item selection, internal promo coordination, forecasting, approvals, and post-promotion reviews with actionable insights.
• Enhance category availability by defining minimum and maximum order quantities (MFQ & MDQ).
• Drive category footfall through effective planogram implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong negotiation skills essential for vendor dealings.
• Analytical abilities to assess data and support decision-making.

Internal and External Communication

The role requires interaction with multiple internal teams including Category Management, Supplier Management, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Private Label, and Finance. Additionally, regular external coordination with suppliers and vendors is necessary.
