Job Overview
Cashiers serve as essential frontline customer service representatives, delivering prompt, friendly, precise, and secure transaction services. They manage checkout and returns processes and oversee the Self-Checkout stations. Cashiers also actively enhance their product and project knowledge to better assist customers and identify opportunities for selling.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently handle customer checkout and return transactions with accuracy and professionalism.
- Supervise and maintain the Self-Checkout area to ensure smooth operations.
- Continuously acquire and apply product and project information to assist customers and promote sales.
- Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures to reduce inventory shrinkage.
Head Cashier Role
The Head Cashier supports fellow cashiers by managing cashier positioning, facilitating price checks, and approving transactions and markdowns across various service points including mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They handle initial escalations of customer issues and assist in supervising, coaching, and training front-end associates. This includes onboarding new cashiers and using available resources to foster cashier development.
Qualifications
- Preferred candidates have at least one year of experience working as a cashier.
