Position Overview
The role of the Cashier is pivotal in delivering excellent customer service by efficiently and accurately handling transactions. This involves processing customer purchases and returns, overseeing the Self-Checkout area, and providing product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver swift, friendly and precise service at checkout counters.
- Handle checkout and return transactions with accuracy and safety.
- Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout stations to ensure smooth operation.
- Proactively acquire product and project insights to inform and assist customers, identifying chances for additional sales.
- Comply with all store policies and procedures to reduce product loss and shrinkage.
Head Cashier Role
- Assign tasks and positions to Cashiers in the team.
- Assist Cashiers by facilitating price verifications and approving sales transactions, markdowns, returns, and special service operations across various store departments.
- Manage first-level customer issue escalations to resolve concerns promptly.
- Contribute to training and coaching of Front End Associates and new Cashiers, using all available coaching tools to foster development.
- Preferred to have at least one year of prior Cashier experience.
