Overview
The Care Assistant role at Alderwood Care Home is a full-time position, offering 36 hours per week with shifts covering weekdays and alternate weekends. The post is based at 39 Essex Hall Road and includes provision of personal care to elderly residents in a supportive and friendly environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing and toileting.
- Support residents during meals and help them move safely around the home.
- Use electronic care plans to provide accurate care tailored to each resident's individual needs.
- Administer prescribed medication carefully and maintain proper records.
- Remain vigilant about the physical and mental health of residents at all times.
- Help maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the care home setting.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be compassionate and motivated to work within a caring team. Previous experience in care is essential, particularly in residential elderly settings, though formal qualifications are not mandatory as full training is offered. A genuine interest in improving residents' comfort and well-being is highly valued.
