Job description
Role Overview
This role involves courteously and efficiently picking up and delivering packages along a designated route, ensuring all shipments meet Federal Express Canada service standards, and performing related customer service duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide courteous and timely package pick-up and delivery on assigned routes.
- Verify shipments comply with FedEx Canada service features.
- Offer excellent customer service related to delivery operations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of high school or equivalent education.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs and handle up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
- Preferably at least one year of customer-focused business experience.
- Successful completion of mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training.
- Basic knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain performance under pressure.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including holidays based on business requirements.
Additional Information
This position requires compliance with driving standards, including holding a valid class 5, G, or 1[AZ] license and maintaining no more than two driving infractions or accidents in the previous 24 months. Candidates will be assessed through a driving record check, interview performance, and driving evaluations. Employees in Quebec must be bilingual in French and English.
