C++ Engineer

About the Role

This position is with partner firms specializing in trading, primarily utilizing proprietary in-house trading systems. Company sizes vary from 15 to 1000 employees and they engage in both traditional financial markets and cryptocurrency assets.

Engineers with extensive trading experience are typically assigned to projects involving research and infrastructure, such as backtesting frameworks, data engineering and storage solutions, or the creation of trading-related functionalities like order management systems (OMS) and trading tools. Those with lesser trading domain knowledge will be considered for teams focusing on connectivity, risk management, and back-office engineering tasks, where domain expertise is less crucial. Assignments depend on the applicant’s experience, specific needs, and interview results.

Candidate Requirements

• Self-motivated and driven professional attitude
• Deep experience writing C++ code primarily on Linux platforms, emphasizing scalable and maintainable coding practices
• Proficient English communication skills, as teams are internationally diverse with many non-native speakers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Bonus skills include familiarity with PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Python
• Additional advantage for candidates with knowledge of financial markets and concepts related to probability and statistics
