About the Property
Sofitel Dubai The Palm is a refined 5-star beachfront resort located on the East Crescent of Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. Set amid greenery and overlooking the Arabian Gulf, the property combines a relaxed tropical setting with French-inspired elegance. The resort includes 360 modern rooms and suites, 182 serviced apartments, 4 ultra-luxury villas, a Sofitel Spa with L’Occitane, a fitness centre, a kids club, and a broad selection of dining venues featuring 7 restaurants, 5 bars, and lounges.
Role Overview
The resort is looking for a polished, service-driven Butler to deliver highly personalized support to guests and help create a seamless luxury stay. This role focuses on anticipating guest needs, managing special requests, and maintaining the highest standards of discretion, organization, and hospitality.
Key Duties
- Proactively identify guest needs and respond with exceptional attention, care, and confidentiality.
- Take ownership of guest requests such as packing and unpacking, laundry arrangements, and personal shopping assistance.
- Liaise with different departments to ensure smooth and timely service across the property.
- Keep guest suites and shared areas orderly, elegant, and impeccably presented.
- As needed, organize and deliver meals, snacks, and beverages for guests.
- Support the planning and delivery of private events and functions.
- Manage guest communication and schedule coordination when required.
- Consistently uphold and surpass service standards set by the property.
- Record guest preferences, special instructions, and important service notes accurately.
- Work closely with colleagues to provide a memorable and premium guest experience.
- Adjust quickly to changing guest priorities and operational demands while remaining professional.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience working as a Butler or in a comparable luxury hospitality position.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.
- A refined sense of detail with the ability to anticipate guest requirements.
- Good knowledge of etiquette, protocol, and high-end service expectations.
- Consistent discretion and respect for confidentiality.
- Well-developed organization and time management skills.
- Confidence in resolving issues and making decisions quickly.
- Physical ability to remain on your feet for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Availability for rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Professional grooming and a presentable manner.
- Comfort working in a multicultural environment.
- Basic computer literacy for correspondence and record maintenance.
- Fluent English; additional languages are advantageous.
