Business Analytics Intern

About the role

This remote internship is with a rapidly growing stealth startup and is ideal for someone who is naturally curious, highly detail-focused, and excited to learn in a hands-on environment. The role offers close collaboration with the founding team and practical exposure to turning data into insights, building reporting tools, and supporting decisions with evidence.

What you'll do

• Gather, prepare, and evaluate both structured and unstructured datasets.
• Carry out exploratory analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and meaningful signals.
• Create and update dashboards and business reports to support decision-making.
• Use SQL to retrieve, combine, and transform data efficiently.
• Help define KPIs and performance measures for business tracking.
• Work alongside product, marketing, and business stakeholders.
• Summarize findings in a clear, practical, and easy-to-act-on format.

What we're looking for

• Applicants should be currently studying or have recently completed a degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets is required.
• Basic SQL ability is expected.
• Some familiarity with Python, especially Pandas and NumPy, or comparable analytical tools is preferred.
• Understanding of visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI is useful.
• Good analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and strong attention to detail are important.

Preferred exposure

• Experience working with real datasets or completing analytics projects.
• Awareness of business KPIs and performance monitoring.
• Exposure to A/B testing or statistical methods.
• Comfort working in startup-style, fast-moving environments.
