Business Analyst - Retail Banking SME (Core Banking Transformation)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Retail Banking Subject Matter Expert (SME) to play a pivotal role in the T24/Temenos core banking transformation program. This full-time position based in Doha, Qatar requires close collaboration between business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors focusing on retail banking products including accounts, deposits, financing, and payments.

Key Duties

• Facilitate workshops to gather and document business requirements from users.
• Convert these business needs into clear functional specifications and review vendor Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
• Manage business reviews and secure approval for deliverables while ensuring alignment with the approved project scope.
• Perform gap analysis comparing Temenos Transact's standard capabilities against business needs and act as the main liaison for vendor-related clarifications.
• Validate vendor outputs against agreed requirements and oversee documentation of the future retail banking processes aligned with the new Temenos system architecture.
• Define validation rules for systems, business operations, accounting, and data migration including cleansing strategies and balance reconciliation.
• Support testing activities including preparation and review of test cases, coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), and managing defect resolutions.
• Assess change management impacts on operations; create and review training materials, manuals, SOPs, and participate in Train-the-Trainer sessions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 7 to 10+ years of experience in executing large-scale Temenos core banking transformation projects.
• Demonstrated client-facing Business Analyst or SME expertise.
• 7 to 10+ years experience in the Middle East banking sector with specialization in Retail Islamic Banking.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounts, deposits, financing products, and payments.
• At least 5 years hands-on experience with Temenos Islamic AA & Payment Hub modules.
• Cerified Temenos Consultant in the respective modules is mandatory.
