Business Analyst

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a long-term contract position located onsite in Mississauga, Ontario, requiring 5 days a week attendance. This role involves analyzing and documenting current business processes, translating requirements into actionable user stories within an agile framework, and working closely with development teams and stakeholders to ensure business objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Document and understand existing business workflows and translate these into user stories utilizing Jira and Confluence within an agile environment.
• Create, execute, and capture results from detailed user test cases to support system design and implementation.
• Collaborate with developers and key stakeholders to align system outputs with business needs.
• Manage Quality Assurance activities to confirm the system meets expected standards and delivers performance as planned.
• Generate reports and visual process flows using MS Office tools and draw.io.
• Apply knowledge of supply chain and transportation logistics.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 7 years' experience as a Senior Business Systems Analyst.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance.
• Demonstrated expertise in business systems analysis emphasizing QA methodologies.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, MS Office, and draw.io tools.
• Understanding of supply chain replenishment processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside strong interpersonal aptitude.
• Advanced analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced agile environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Track record of managing multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
• Retail domain experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Self-motivated with the initiative to ask pertinent questions and drive progress.
• Agile methodology certification and Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) credentials are preferred.

Additional Skills and Knowledge

• 4 to 10 years of background in product management or business analysis with an emphasis on order management and replenishment systems.
• Experience participating in Order Management System (OMS) implementations within retail or distribution replenishment operations.
• Familiarity with agile frameworks and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain procedures, inventory allocation, and order lifecycle management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills geared toward influencing cross-functional teams.
