Role Summary

We are looking to engage a proficient Business Analyst experienced in the travel and airline sector for our Bangalore office. The individual must bring expertise in business analysis techniques and practical experience within the travel industry. The role demands proactive stakeholder communication and the ability to facilitate project success by delivering insights based on data and strategic advice.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analysis of business needs and convert them into functional specifications tailored to travel and airline projects.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including product management, development, and operations to maintain alignment on objectives and outputs.
• Lead workshops and stakeholder meetings for requirements gathering, gap analysis, and solution proposals.
• Create and update project documentation such as business requirement documents, use cases, and process workflows.
• Employ data analytics tools to generate insights aiding decision-making.
• Track and report project progress and performance metrics to relevant stakeholders and management.
• Recognize risks and issues promptly and collaborate on developing mitigation plans.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices within the travel and airline sector for informed strategic planning.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst within the travel and airline domain.
• Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills with aptitude for interpreting intricate data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for engaging diverse stakeholder groups.
• Proficiency with business analysis frameworks and tools.
• Experience in project management and familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of airline reservation systems and travel management applications.
• Experience operating data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory standards relevant to the travel industry.
• Capability to work effectively in fast-paced settings and juggle multiple priorities.

Educational Credentials

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience specifically in travel and airline business analysis.
• Certifications like CBAP, CCBA for Business Analysis or PMP, Agile for Project Management are advantageous.
