Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive Business Analyst focused on Operations and Artificial Intelligence to join our team. This role demands hands-on experience with AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT applied to practical tasks. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Operations, Trade Support, and Technology teams to identify manual procedures suitable for AI-enabled automation, creating and managing these innovative solutions. This opportunity enables the use of AI to enhance productivity and minimize operational risks throughout the trade lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations, Trade Support, and Technology to map current workflows and pinpoint AI-driven automation opportunities.
• Develop and sustain simple automations and scripts using Python and SQL that integrate AI tools with internal systems and data.
• Prototype and test AI-enhanced processes, then document and transition successful pilots for wider application.
• Create and maintain SQL queries essential for extracting, cleansing, and validating data supporting AI solutions.
• Develop prompts, test, and refine them to enhance AI output quality and dependability.
• Oversee and troubleshoot AI-powered workflows, escalating issues when necessary.
• Analyze operational processes related to trade lifecycle events, including reconciliations, settlements, confirmations, corporate actions, and reporting.
• Gather business requirements from Operations and translate them into technical implementations, coordinating with Technology teams.
• Assist in testing, user acceptance, and deployment of new operational tools.
• Assess AI implementations' impact against operational KPIs, identify any risks due to automation, and propose suitable controls.
• Monitor project progress and communicate status updates to Operations, Technology, and business stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation of processes, decisions, and playbooks to ensure repeatability and ease of maintenance.
• Stay informed about emerging AI capabilities and relevant vendor releases applicable to operational needs.

Candidate Requirements

• Between 1 to 5 years experience working in operations within hedge funds, asset management, or related financial entities.
• Proficient in SQL and Python programming languages.
• Practical experience utilizing AI platforms such as Claude and ChatGPT for work-related tasks including prompt design and workflow automation.
• Detail-oriented with a strong ability to handle sensitive financial and operational data responsibly.
• Excellent communication skills suitable for engaging with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Self-driven approach with capability to independently identify challenges and devise solutions.
• Educational background preferably in a quantitative, technical, or business discipline, though not mandatory.
• Desirable experience includes familiarity with APIs, automation frameworks, or scripting related to data pipelines.
• Preferred knowledge of fund operations areas such as reconciliations, trade support, and reporting.
• Experience with modern large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or GitHub Copilot to optimize business processes is advantageous.
